Born in Lebanon, François Mouawad quickly became impressed with the art of hairdressing at an early age. He soon launched himself into learning this craft. His first few years in the industry were spent working in various renowned Salons in Beirut where he mastered the art. He later moved to Paris to further advance and master the art of hairdressing while managing and operating multiple Salons in Lebanon. A gifted hairdresser from the start, he competed in and won several international hairstyling competitions throughout the world.

A major goal of François’ was to establish himself in Canada and bring the European and Eastern glamour hairstyle with him.  He moved to Moncton and launched Salon François where he now uses his artistic and talented knowledge gained from international experiences.

In 2007, Salon François along with a few other top Canadian Salons were chosen to carry the Kérastase products. This worldwide leader in professional luxury hair care products is a perfect complement to an internationally recognized artistic hair designer.

This gifted and very well respected hairdresser is known for his amazing techniques, artistic styles and for creating haircuts that work! Many of his clients travel from a-far to visit this beautiful, relaxing salon and to experience his unique touch of style.

François always continues to bring the best of the latest hairstyle fashions to his clients and employees from the various international conferences he attends and his many contacts from around the world.
